Curriculum vitae

Mahima Rai is a research assistant at the Department of Sport Sociology at the University of Wuppertal. She holds a B.A. in Education from the Freie Universität Berlin and an M.A. in Religion and Culture from the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. Her research interests include intersectionality, contrasting identities of young people, racism in Germany and belonging. She is currently working on the research project "Changing Perspectives - Shaping Belonging" at the Department of Sport Sociology. This project is investigating how young people perceive, influence and negotiate belonging in the field of sport and how belonging is granted structurally.
